Anne Davis reports this summer is one of the busiest ever, with an overflowing Summer Reading Program and visitation breaking records. Of particular note is the heavy usage by young people.

Paving List

We held off on this year’s paving, or even developing a paving list, until the fate of the sidewalk project was known. Now we need to move quickly to meet our scheduling commitments with the contractor. The paving list is enclosed in the packet. As was the case last year, we have skipped streets that might be included in a sidewalk project, pending that discussion in the FY 10 budget cycle. If Councilors have questions or concerns please let me know quickly.

City Staff

Police Officer Eric Testerman has returned from a ten month tour in Iraq. Eric served as a military police officer in the Anbar Province, training the Iraqi Highway Patrol. Eric will start in a transitionary status next week and return to full time in late summer. Thank you for your service to us all and a hearty welcome back!
