UPCOMING MEETINGS
Next Week's City Council Meeting Agenda
Next Week's City Meetings are available on our Calendar
Fall Clean Up
Fall Clean up has been scheduled to start October 6 in District 4 and conclude October 31 in District 1. Tickets are $25 again this year. Universal waste (computers, TV’s etc) is $15 per item. Hatch Hill fees have increased for universal waste. Tickets go on sale September 15 and can be purchased at the front office or at gardinermaine.com. The clean up brochure with all pertinent details is also available at either www.gardnermaine.com or the front office.
Public Works
The grader has been in Limestone at the Maine Military Authority since late July. The refurbishment is more than half complete, with testing scheduled in the near future. Chuck Applebee has visited once to observe the work and confer with Authority personnel and another visit will be necessary soon to participate in the testing.
City Staff
Dave Thompson has resigned as Wastewater Chief Operator effective September 30. Dave is our first-ever chief operator, taking the newly created position two years ago, after performing operator duties for three years prior to that. We have posted the position and will conduct a process for a new chief operator.
