UPCOMING MEETINGS
Organizational Analysis Task Force, Monday, October 29, 5:30 p.m. City Hall
Elections
City Hall will be open Saturday November 3 from 8 am to noon for absentee voting. This is offered as a convenience and encouragement to voters and also to discourage last minute absentee voting. With changes to election laws, we can now process absentee ballots on Monday, so that the focus on Tuesday is entirely upon the process at the polls.
Our consolidated polling place is entirely ADA compliant. Powered doors have been installed at the Boys and Girls Club, bring that site into compliance. A state grant helped with the cost. It has taken many years of very concerted effort to move from seven non-compliant (some dramatically so) sites to full compliance and City Clerk Dee Berglund is to be commended for this success.
Pat Glidden
With the recent passing of Pat Glidden, we have thought hard about her long and valuable contributions to local government and her kind and thoughtful friendship. We have found a spot on our very limited City Hall site plant a bush that will serve to remind us all of how Pat served her community and how much she loved plants and the outdoors.
Halloween Luncheon
Great cooks, scary monsters and hungry people are invited to the Halloween Luncheon Wednesday at noon. A flyer is enclosed.
