RE: Weekly Memo
UPCOMING MEETINGS
Next Week's City Meetings are available on our Calendar
Below please find an update on recent City activities:
- Public Works will begin the Fall Cleanup next week.~ ~They will begin with District 4 (South Gardiner) and go week by week to different districts within the City through the end of October.
- The first batch of absentee ballots will be mailed out today.~~ Residents are able to register and/or vote in the City Clerk’s office up through Monday, November 1. Absentee ballots may be requested by calling City Hall or online.
- Interviews are being conducted this week for the positions of Mechanic and Chief Operator for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
- A reminder that tomorrow, Saturday, October 2, Gardiner Main Street will be hosting the Swine and Stein Oktoberfest event in the downtown from 11 am to 7 pm. This event will feature local beer, food, live entertainment, and activities for children. The downtown will be closed to traffic during this period although accommodations have been made to ensure the street remains passable for public safety vehicles. In the hours prior to and after the event, portions of Water Street will be closed for the set up/tear down of tents and equipment although one lane will remain open to traffic during this time. After the rain tonight the weather promises to be great tomorrow so I look forward to seeing you at this downtown event!
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to serve the people of Gardiner as City Manager.
