UPCOMING MEETINGS
Next Week's City Meetings are available on our Calendar
Below please find an update on recent City activities:
- Update on the waterfront project:
- The final surface coat of asphalt on the Water Street entrance areas by Baileys and to the RR bridge will be completed next week. This will complete all of the paving on the project.
- Walkway pavers are coming in nicely and they are working towards the granite seat wall.~ McGee is still working on building the seat wall, which is taking more cutting that anticipated
McGee will backfill all of the areas that have been paved.~ This should go relatively quickly
- A subcontractor is coming to install the split rail fence
- The steel railing for the stairway is back on order.~ We anticipate installation within the next three weeks.
- Security cameras are ordered and we were told to expect installation to be started by the first week in December.
- A reminder that the annual tree lighting ceremony will be held this Wednesday, December 1 at 5:30 p.m. Check out the holiday event page on Gardiner Main Street’s website for details about additional holiday events in our community
- I have been named as a member of the Maine Municipal Association’s Legislative Policy Committee. I will be filling the vacancy created by the unfortunate passing of fellow manager Mark Doyon
- A reminder that City Hall will be closed this Thursday and Friday in observance of Thanksgiving
- HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to serve the people of Gardiner as City Manager.
