UPCOMING MEETINGS
Next Week's City Meetings are available on our Calendar
Have you walked down Water Street lately? The storefronts are decorated for the holiday season, the two parks are alive with lights and trees and the lampposts are decked out with wreaths. A quick walk down the street and a visit to our local shops will certainly help cheer anyone up!
The Libby Hill Business Park is home to some nationally known businesses that ship their products from Gardiner, Maine. All these great things are happening and Gardiner is still one of the best kept secrets of Central Maine. We are poised to become a “destination” city for tourists and businesses alike and we would love your input.
Do you want to help promote Gardiner as a great place to live, work and play? We want to hear your ideas! The City has just launched a marketing project that will help promote both downtown Gardiner and Libby Hill Business Park areas. To help hear your ideas, Gardiner is hosting a survey on-line this month for a limited time. Please go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NGGHJCS to take the survey on-line. Internet access is available at the Gardiner Public Library for those who need it. The survey
will be on-line until noon Monday, December 21st. Thank you for your interest in helping on this great project!
Gardiner City Hall’s front office staff is another reason why Gardiner is a great place to live. They work hard everyday so that your visit to Gardiner City Hall is a pleasant experience. I hope you will all stop in to welcome our newest employee, Joyce Tillson. Joyce is our new utility clerk and she is quickly learning the “ropes”. Ms. Tillson lives in China. and has two children, Kacie and Jace.. Joyce most recently owned and operated Moose River Campground in Jackman. Prior to the purchase of the campground, she spent 16 years with Maine’s Office of Substance Abuse At the time of her departure from the State of Maine she was a Grant/Specialist. She has an avid interest in computers, website design and database development. Her skills will be invaluable as
we continue implementing our technology plan. Please stop in soon and welcome Joyce to Gardiner.
