CITY MANAGER’S OFFICE
WEEKLY MEMORANDUM

TO:     Mayor MacLean, Councilors and Department Heads
FROM:   Jeffrey Kobrock, City Manager
DATE:   April 13, 2007
RE:     Weekly Memo

Meetings for the Week of April 15, 2007
City Hall Closed, Monday April 16, 2007, in observance of Patriot's Day
4 Beech Street
We executed a purchase and sale agreement with the Fowlers today for the 4 Beech Street property. The agreement provides the Fowlers immediate access to the property while limiting the City's liability. We will close the transaction in a few weeks, but the Fowlers left City Hall and directly started work on the property. We should see improvements to the property very soon.
Vacation
I will be on vacation April 17-26. During this time the senior management team will "mind the store". Storekeepers in sequential order are Chuck Applebee, Jason Simcock and Anne Davis. Dee Berglund is a good contact person during this period of time for questions or concerns that might otherwise go to me.

Packet
The weekly packet will take a vacation as well. Next week there will be no packet. The packet returns (well rested) on April 27.

FY 08 Proposed Budget
The FY 08 Budget will be published under separate cover to the website. Barring unforeseen problems, I expect to publish the proposed budget Tuesday, April 17. An email with a link to the budget will be sent as it is published. We will also post a notice on the website, which emails a notice to all those who sign up for the service.
