Project Canopy
We have received our second consecutive Project Canopy grant. This program supports community forestry objectives. We have designated this $5,000 grant to replace trees in the downtown and Common areas. Thanks to Sarah for the good work securing this funding for the City!
Service Plaza
The Maine Turnpike Authority and Maine Department of Transportation proposal to construct a service plaza in West Gardiner has been discussed in numerous forums over the past several months. The MTA had requested and then cancelled several joint City/Water District workshops over the Fall and Winter, but are now ready to brief us about the request to provide utilities via private lines over the 1.5 mile distance. We have scheduled this briefing for our upcoming meeting
