Waterfront Project
With snow finally on the ground it is appropriate that we are moving toward closing the Reed and Reed contract for the waterfront. Reed and Reed did a great job as contractor on a very unique and challenging project. We spent less than half of the approximately $70,000 in contingency and the bulk of that was on increased inspection services that we had planned on. As we finalized project plans after bidding the project, it became apparent that originally projected inspection services were not adequate. A recommendation will come to the Council soon to dedicate a portion of the remaining contingency to demolition of the old Webber garage.
