Chuck Applebee has been selected as Second Vice-President of the Maine Wastewater Control Association. This is the statewide organization of wastewater professionals. It is a real tribute to Chuck to be recognized as a leader in his profession in Maine by his peers. The likely progression of officers will place Chuck in the President’s seat in 2008.
Waterfront Project
A pre-bid meeting was held this past week for the shore stabilization of the waterfront property. We were very encouraged that a dozen contractors of note and quality attended. Bids are due February 1 with a no-later-than March 1 projection for award of the contract. Our permits do not allow any substantial work to be started prior to July 15, so the schedule is a hurry up and wait scenario.
