Council Chamber Renovations
The Maine Department of Corrections Pre-Release program has been very busy helping us with the renovations to Council Chambers. The paneling has been ripped out and new sheetrock installed. The ceiling tiles have been removed in anticipation of new tiles. Bids were opened yesterday for preparing all surfaces for paint. After the contractor finishes the walls, Pre-Release will return to prime and paint. To date we have spent $400 on sheetrock. That is a frugal project budget!

4 Beech Street Request for Proposals (RFP)
An RFP has been issued for reuse/redevelopment of the Beech St. property. The opportunity is being advertised in Kennebec Journal and at gardinermaine.com. The RFP itself is in the packet. It is anticipated that a recommendation will come to the Council March 21.
