The new overflow tank/clarifier is on line at the plant in one of its dual functions as the primary clarifier. This is the “dry weather” mode. The wet weather function of overflow tank is not yet fully permitted. Our draft DEP permit is currently in the 30-day review window before becoming final. At that point the plant is permitted for its new capacity and for its new wet weather operations.
Waterfront Project
We have recently signed the contract with Reed and Reed for the waterfront and they are eager to start, with lots of good ideas and enthusiasm. In addition we have recently submitted a $250,000 congressional earmark request with the assistance of Senator Collins’ office. If we were successful with the earmark, paired with funding remaining from phase one and assisted by favorable bid prices, we might be able complete phase two of the waterfront.
