Cobbossee Corridor Master Plan
About this time last year we organized a group of twenty-five stakeholders to guide a master planning effort for the Cobbossee Stream Corridor. This group, with the professional guidance of Kent Associates and Chris Paszyc has developed a draft plan in this milestone project. The Cobbossee Corridor has very unique and multi-faceted potential for the community, and the plan reflects a comprehensive approach to the numerous and complex possibilities. The exciting challenge that is unfolding will be to balance this broad spectrum of potential while consistently demanding that we seek the highest and best uses within the corridor.
Pollution Prevention/Compliance Advisory Board
After my appointment several months ago by the Governor to this Department of Environment Protection board, I have recently been fully initiated into the work of this group. I am very impressed by the commitment to outreach and openness to suggestion shown by the DEP staff who work with this group. The membership is very diverse, representing a very broad spectrum of those impacted by DEP policy. My three years of service seems likely to be characterized by fascinating public policy debates.
