Johnson Hall Partnership
The partnership of Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center, the Board of Trade, Gardiner Main Street and the City issued a request for proposals in January, with responses due in March. The RFP sought a comprehensive feasibility analysis and action plan for building renovations and sustainable operations. Proposals were to use the recommendations of the Johnson Task Force June 2004 report envisioning a multi-use community center as the basis for further study. The integrated plan will be composed of these individual areas of focus: a facility master plan with cost estimates, a business plan reflecting financing and supporting the facility plan, an organizational development plan and a fundraising plan. This is an ambitious, multi-disciplinary approach.
Six excellent and intriguing proposals were received. The teams proposed represent very high levels of experience and expertise, many with nationwide client lists. This kind of response is very important. Not only is the diverse expertise for this complex project assembled for us in the proposed teams, but also the fact that we got such impressive response is great reinforcement that the industry is as excited about this project as we who are more closely involved.
