Council Schedule
April 6 will mark the final Thursday Council meeting. April 12 will begin both Wednesday Council meetings and budget workshops. A full schedule of budget workshops will accompany the budget itself in next week’s packet. As a preview of the fun to be had, meetings/workshops are scheduled weekly between now and mid June - but with our characteristic efficiency in review and decision-making we can whittle this schedule to something more palatable.
Congressman Tom Allen Visits
Last week Tom Allen spent some time visiting Gardiner. The Mayor, Jason Simcock and I hosted the Congressman Tuesday afternoon. We provided an overview of our major initiatives and projects at City Hall, toured the ArtDogs project with proprietor Karen Adrienne for a practical exposure to the creative economy, stopped by A-1 To Go and got an update on the Main Street program, and finally visited with the Johnson Hall Renovation Partnership and toured the upper floors of Johnson Hall. It was a whirlwind tour of Gardiner; Tom left with a very good background on the exciting things we are doing in Gardiner.
