Front Office
In the current budget we funded some alterations to the front office to address ergonomic and efficiency issues. We will be doing that work plus some cosmetic “sprucing up” over the next few weeks. The major item is replacement of the front counter to yield more efficient workspaces and ergonomically correct workstations. To accomplish this we will start reconstruction at closing on Friday, April 22 and continue to work all weekend. On Monday, April 25 the front office will need to be closed to finish up and assure we are ready to open for business Tuesday, April 26.
WWTP Project
The Maine Avenue Pump Station upgrade has been been effectively completed. The upgrade dramatically increased the capacity and the efficiency of the pump station. However, until pipe installation along Rt. 24 to the plant is completed later this year, the pump station will operate at its former potential, due to the limitations of the existing pipe to the plant. However, the pump station upgrade is a real milestone in the project – this was a technically and logistically challenging part of the overall effort, allowing attention now to be concentrated upon the even more complex plant activity for the remainder of the project.
