Waterfront Project
We are seeing good interest in both elements of the Waterfront that we moved forward with just recently. We have received two very qualified proposals for the economic analysis (“highest and best use study”) we put out as a request for proposals and seven highly qualified responses to the shore stabilization design/engineering we put out about the same time. As these two “first steps” elements fall into place we will move forward with the process to finalize design of the entire project for an early fall construction. We need to coordinate the waterfront work with the wastewater project, as a new forcemain will be installed directly through the waterfront property.
Tax Cap Fact Sheet
Many have asked how the 10 mil tax cap (known as “Palesky”) referendum question would affect Gardiner. I have included a FACT SHEET in the packet that should answer many questions. I would be happy to answer any other that may come to mind as you think about this poorly crafted piece of proposed public policy.
In this packet
impose limits on Real and Personal Property Taxes (Palesky Initative)
- G. Steven Rowe, Attorney General
