Library
Anne Davis reports that the Gardiner Library has received another New Century grant! A previous grant funded after school programs in association with the Recreation Department. This $37,000 will be matched with proceeds from Gardiner Reflections and will fund the first phase of renovations to the Children’s Library. The long-term plan is to improve the energy efficiency of the second floor and then its heating and cooling systems, so that the beautiful architectural elements of the stained glass window and vaulted ceiling can again be exposed for enjoyment of patrons. Congratulations Anne!
Employee Appreciation Luncheon
Do not forget our Annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon is scheduled for May 27, 11 am - 1 PM at the Boys and Girls Club. Come help us honor city staff when we present the Great Idea, Outstanding Teamwork and Extraordinary Dedication awards. Lunch will be great too!
