WWTP
As part of the WWTP upgrade project we have applied for and received our new DEP permit. This authorizes our new wet weather/dry weather operating modes. To make this transition we will begin to ramp up the capacity of the Main Avenue pump station and learn to use the storage capacity in the new primary clarifier and the sewer main itself to alleviate the majority of wet weather overflow events.

Waterfront Trail
The waterfront trail is essentially complete and a real gem! It is honestly hard to believe that you step out of the downtown into such a wonderful area. I am told it is exactly a mile round trip from City Hall for those lunchtime walkers. We are organizing a ribbon cutting for the near future.

The schools have taken an interest in naming the trail. We are discussing a contest to name the trail with the Mayor awarding a prize to the winning class.
