WWTP
Contractors have shown great interest in the WWTP project. Twenty sets of plans have been taken out and pre-bid meetings have been well attended. For a project of this size, it is vitally important to generate that critical mass of interest to have a successful bid process. Bids will be opened June 22, and after analysis by Wright-Pierce a recommendation for awarding bids will come shortly to the Council.

Spring Clean Up
We expect to finish Spring Clean Up next week in District Four, several weeks behind schedule. Not only does such a set back cause inconvenience for residents, but it delays the start of summer projects – the list of which is always too long anyway! The combination of a vacant position, some nasty weather and unanticipated problems in other areas of operations that required priority attention made this year a particularly hard one for the Public Works staff.
