City Staff
My colleagues in the Maine Town and City Management Association have named me as a Certified Maine Manager. Certification involves meeting criteria for expertise, experience, professional development and service to the community. The number of certified Maine managers is actually relatively small – about twenty-five. The formal award will be made at the annual New England Management Institute later this year.
Public Works/Wastewater
The manhole work associated with the MDOT paving project on Rt. 24 will also come in below previous estimates, similar to the Rt. 201 work. The project will not start up immediately, so it is difficult to predict exactly at this point, but clearly total costs will be far below our initial expectation.
Northwest Quadrant
The Northwest Quadrant project was put out to bid last week. The Pre-Bid conference will be on Wednesday July 13, and the Bid opening will be at 9:00am on Tuesday July 26, in the Council Room.
