Council Schedule
The Council will meet September 15 for a discussion of Water District governance issues. The selectboards from Farmingdale and Randolph have been invited, as well as the District’s Board of Trustees.
The agenda for a possible September 8 meeting is light enough that we can address it after the workshop on the 15th. Enjoy another Thursday night with family or friends!
We will meet on September 15 for the Water District governance workshop and a light agenda to follow.
State Paving Projects
The Route 201 MDOT paving project has been completed. The Route 24 paving project is just beginning. We are utilizing the same approach to raising manholes on Route 24 as we did on Route 201, which resulted in very significant savings to sewer ratepayers.
New England Management Institute
I attended the New England Management Institute August 31 – September 2. This is always an extremely informative, challenging program. This year the theme is “Reaching and Teaching the Public”, and features a series of sessions for honing communication of the complex issues facing local governments. I also received the formal award of my certification of a Maine City Manager.
