City Staff
Fire/Rescue staffer Rick Sieberg has recently been named Captain of C Shift. Rob Saucier’s retirement led to the opportunity. Congratulations Rick!
Chuck Applebee has been elected Second Vice President of the Maine Wastewater Control Association. This will put Chuck in increasingly more responsible positions in the organization over the next several years. The City has a very strong history of management staff serving in leadership roles outside our organization. It speaks well of the City that we have staff that seek and obtain these leadership roles. It speaks well of our people that they are always seeking new challenges and are willing to dedicate the time and energy to such service.
MMA Convention
The Maine Municipal Association convention will be held at the Augusta Civic Center October 5-7. The “Back to Basics” theme offers a wide range of important training opportunities across the spectrum of municipal services.
Front Office
Due to the MMA Convention and training requirements we will close the front office Thursday October 6. We will return to regular hours Friday.
