Library Gala
Anne Davis reports that the celebration of the Library’s 125th birthday was a huge success. Attendance was great, the event was enjoyed by all and substantial progress was made in raising funds for the very-ambitious-and-much-needed Library capital improvement plan. Congratulations Anne!
Technology Plan
Anne Davis has accepted the appointment as Project Manager of the software conversion project. The new network is being built by Dan Couvrette and will be installed October 11. Actual migration to the new network will take place gradually after installation and testing. Unifund is installing their software October 12. On October 13 Unifund will conduct daylong surveys with the major users of the software to use in planning configuration and data conversion.
Staff Reorganization
Dee Berglund has accepted the appointment as Office Manager. The candidates were strong and decision therefore very difficult. As discussion are still ongoing with the General Unit concerning other reorganization details, Dee will likely begin her new duties officially no sooner than October 16. Congratulations Dee!
