Councilor Mike Webster
It is with extraordinary sadness that I received word Councilor Webster passed away Friday. Mike had been a stalwart supporter all things good in Gardiner. His exceptional energy, commitment and enthusiasm were infectious. Mike provided great leadership to our community and was an excellent role model for us all. His unflagging optimism and appreciation of life will be very sadly missed.
PUC Decision
Although this is a topic not easily reduced to brief written comment, the PUC has vindicated the City in the Trustee appointments to the Gardiner Water District. The Nickless appointment was considered “moot” by the Commissioners as the City Council term that could possibly have created a conflict had expired. The Kobrock appointment was regarded as not providing any conflict.
City Staff
Frank Newell is leaving as a communications officer after eleven years. Frank has a great opportunity with the CMP communications center. Thanks for your dedication to the City, Frank!
