CITY MANAGER’S OFFICE
WEEKLY MEMORANDUM
TO:              Mayor Rines, Councilors and Department Heads
FROM:   Jeffrey Kobrock, City Manager
DATE:   November 19, 2004
RE:             Weekly Memo

Meetings for the Week of November 22, 2004

Appeals Board                   Tues., Nov. 23, 6:00 pm, City Hall
Thanksgiving Holiday    Thurs. & Fri. Nov. 25 & 26 City Hall Closed

WWTP
The “pipe part” of the wastewater project will commence next week. We had a false start earlier this fall when the contractor’s plans changed at the last minute, but it looks fairly sure this time. Work will start in the waterfront area and progress to Rte 24. Although weather dependent, the contractor would like to make substantial progress down to the treatment plant before winter sets in. Work at the plant itself has really picked up, with cement for the new clarifier being poured in the next few weeks.

Council Schedule
We will meet on December 2 for the regular meeting of December. If the agenda is too much for one meeting, we will meet again December 9. The closer we get to the holidays the tougher it gets with everyone’s schedule, so if we could pencil in December 9 in case we need it that would be helpful.
