The “Fund for Delivery of Local and Regional Services”
The City/Water District Joint Management Team was tasked with reporting back in January, 2005 on the on the tasks and timelines associated with the four resolutions jointly adopted at the workshops held in October at the Boys & Girls Club. A big part of advancing efficiencies and cooperation could be the recently announced grant program to support such efforts. The Joint Management Team is looking at the grant program and developing a strategy. Applications are due January 14, so the turnaround time is very tight.
Northwest Quadrant Project
Design work is continuing by Dirigo Engineering for the Northwest Quadrant Project. Bids for ledge probes are being sought and will be awarded December 20. The base mapping has been done, and 95% of the survey is completed. Our bond counsel is working on the financing package and in January we will have that ready for Council consideration.
Holiday Party
The funnest of fun can be had very soon at the City’s Holiday Party! December 23 at noon we will gather to enjoy a great meal by the talented chefs that we work next to everyday! Please put the date on your calendar, and if you are so inclined, take a look through your recipe file for that very special one to share. But regardless of your cooking abilities, the important thing is that you join us for this annual tradition.
