WASTEWATER ADVISORY MEETING MINUTES
1/08/03
Present: Charles Batchelder, Phil Hart, Francis Grey, Chris Paszyc, Linda Matychowiak
Chairman Batchelder called the meeting to order at 5:30pm.
Chairman Batchelder accepted the resignation of Beverly Robbins.
Chris Paszyc, Chuck Applebee & Linda Matychowiak discussed the possibility of having a Economic Development Incentive added to the Gardiner Sewer Use Ordinance. The idea being to market the excess capacity gained with the loss of Gardiner Paperboard. Chuck, Chris and Linda will work to develop ordinance language to be brought back to the committee and the City Council.
The budget was discussed in general. We are on target for the existing constancy with the Rate Study Recommendations. There will be a more detailed discussion at the next Advisory Meeting in hopes that additional members will be present. Phil asked about the possibility of delaying the last rate increase. Chuck will look at the pros and cons of this possibility.
The Sewer Rate Bullets will be finalized at then put on a City Council Agenda.
Chuck informed the committee that he would be working to resolve a sewer billing issue with the Town of Randolph.
