Downtown Building Demolition

The demolition of the dangerous building located at 235 Water Street will begin on July 5, 2023. 

During this time of active demolition:

• The sidewalk and 3 parking spaces located in front of the building on Water Street will be fenced off
• A section of the Arcade parking lot will be closed for public use to allow for construction equipment and debris
• Demolition work will be performed approximately between the hours of 7am and 5pm
• Please use caution around the area and observe the demolition area boundaries while work is active and when contractors are not present

Once complete, stockade fencing will be installed, barricades will be removed and the sidewalks and parking spaces will reopen.

The contractors are hopeful the work will be completed in two weeks, without any unforeseen issues.
