Memorial Day - City Hall & Library Closed & Parade at 10am

Memorial Day Announcement

Gardiner City Hall and the Gardiner Public Library will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023 in observance of Memorial Day.

The Memorial Day Parade, organized by the American Legion, will also return this year.

The parade will begin at the Gardiner Armory at 10am and will end at the Gardiner Common with a ceremony event in the park to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Expect delays, and proceed with caution if you plan to travel through the area during that time. Brunswick Avenue will be shut down for the parade, and the area will be busy with individuals wishing to watch the parade.

The following streets will be closed off by 9am.
Dresden Ave (Church St. to School St),
Lincoln Ave (Brunswick Ave to School St.),
School St. (Brunswick Ave to Dresden Ave).
These streets around the park are reserved for the participants of the parade, so please plan accordingly.

Also, while the parade is occurring, the Gardiner Police Department will be shutting off the Brunswick Avenue access to Central, Washington and High Holburn Streets.
