MaineDOT Formal Virtual Public Meeting
Brunswick to Augusta Rail Use Advisory Council

Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

A livestream of the event will be available here: https://www.maine.gov/mdot/ofps/ruac/lowerroad/meetings/

To discuss the efforts of Lower Road Rail Use Advisory Council.

MaineDOT will host a presentation followed by a question-and-answer period to discuss the ongoing efforts of the Lower Road Rail Use Advisory Council (Council). The purpose of the Council is to facilitate discussion, gather information and provide advice to the MaineDOT commissioner regarding future use of the state-owned rail corridor. The corridor council process was established (23 MRSA §75) by the Maine State Legislature in 2021.

The meeting will give the public an opportunity to provide input to the Council regarding the future use of the Lower Road rail line from Brunswick to Augusta. We are particularly interested in learning local and regional views and identifying concerns and issues.

Questions, comments, or inquiries can be made directly through the Council website at https://www.maine.gov/mdot/ofps/ruac/lowerroad/contact/ or can be directed to the Project Manager listed below.
