Property Tax Assistance
If you are 65 or older, have owned a house in Gardiner for 10 years, and your taxes are paid in full. And, you filed the 2022 Property Tax Fairness Credit and received a credit, then you could receive a refund of $100 to $500.
Fill out the attached application below and return it to City Hall.
Items Needed:
- Proof of Residency: Copy of a utility bill, tax form, or driver license
- Proof of Age: Birth certificate, driver license, state ID, or passport
- Your most recent Form 1040ME Property Tax Fairness Credit
If any additional information should be needed, you will be contacted.
The deadline for the Property Tax Assistance and the Sewer Discount Program applications is October 15.
