Car Wash Rules & Waiver of Liability

As a guest, utilizing the premises and equipment of the Gardiner Fire & Rescue Department, I understand and agree to abide by the followingrules. I further understand that these rules are for the safety of all persons involved and that violations of these rules will be cause for cessation of our activities in or on the property that is the responsibility of the Gardiner Fire & Rescue Department. I understand that these rules will be enforced by any Gardiner Fire & Rescue employee who finds they are not being followed.

Car washes are limited to non-profit organizations and are limited to Saturdays and Sundays only. Arrangements must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the event and are scheduled on first come, first serve basis. In the event that two car washes are inadvertently scheduled, the Gardiner Fire Department will do their best to reschedule.

No person in my group is allowed entry to the areas in the fire station that are marked Authorized Personnel Only. If there is a need to enter an area marked as such, it will be at the discretion of the fire personnel and the person entering such an area will only do so as directed by an authorized employee of the Gardiner Fire & Rescue Department.

I understand that activities are limited to a designated area of the facility.

I understand that all participants must act responsibly in the course of the car wash. There are many hazards in the area. It was not an area developed for a play area.

I agree to have adequate, adult supervision for any event I am involved with.

I understand that I am responsible for the set up and cleaning up of all equipment and areas used. I further understand that this consists of returning any equipment used to its proper storage area, sweeping, picking up trash, etc. The Gardiner Fire & Rescue Department has available any supplies necessary to accomplish this.

I further understand that I must replace any property of the Gardiner Fire & Rescue Department used in the course of the car wash that is damaged or misplaced.

Waiver of Liability

I shall not hold The City of Gardiner, or any employees of the City liable in any way, shape or form for any injury done to myself, any member of my party, or personal property due to negligence on the part of myself or my party in following the rules of conduct. Furthermore, I agree to follow the rules of conduct without question. I understand that failure to follow rules of conduct will result in cessation of activities and subsequent immediate expulsion from the property.

This form must be completed and received prior to event taking place, either submitted via mail, fax (582-1079) or presented on the day of the event.
